This 55 watt Super UV Replacement Lamp/Quartz comes as an integral unit where the lamp is already installed within the quartz sleeve. These replacement Lamp/Quartz sleeves are very easy to replace, you simply switch off the ballast unit, umplug the old Lamp/Quartz and plug the replacement into the ballast. Then yu are good to go.

The lamp life of these Super UV Amalagam replacement UV lamps is approximately 13000 hours so it is a advisable to have a spre to hand.
The ballast unit for these Air Aqua Super UV Amalagam Submersible UV's have an hour counter so that the user knows when the lamp needs to be replaced. There is also a built-in alarm that detects whether the lamp is still operating correctly.
