Due to a very compact bypass-system, the multiport valve is completely, as the name suggests, bypassed and is unused during filtering allowing the water to flow directly into the filter and leave by the same method. This action results in at least 30% less pressure loss depending on the type of pump you use.

The bypass system as mentioned is very easy to install on all EconoBead models, using the unions supplied and basically just screws on.

There are two bypass kits available, one has 50 mm inlet and outlet for use on the 1-1/2" multiport valves on the EconoBead  EB40, EB50, and EB60 models, the second kit has 63mm inlet and outlet and is designed for use with the 2" multiport valves on the Econobead EB100 and EB140 models.

We stock oa range of reducers to take these sizes down to both 1-1/2" and 2" pressure pipe if required, and we can reduce these still further to accommodate black Solvent weld pipe if necessary.
