Filtreau Drum Filter

The Filtreau Drum Filter is a low maintenance filter system that provides healthy clear water without the user having to perform daily maintenance. Also the Filtreau Drum filter due to it's built in 40 watt Amalagam UV results in very low pressure loss as the water flows through the unit.

The Pond water will be filtered by the 70 micron INOX316L screen filter as the water enters the drum filter, either gravity or pump fed, and will then pass through the screen into the clean chamber of the dum filter. As the drum filter screen becomes dirty with debris from the pond the water level in this 'clean' chamber will lower. This lower water level is detected by the integral floatswitch which will initiate a full cleaning cycle of the dum. This cleaning mode will pressure wash the drum screen dislodging all the dirt and debris in to the waste channel and all this will be flushed away automatically. After a few minutes the drum filter screen will be clean and allow enough water through the screen to the 'clean' side of the drum and the drum filter will automatically switch back into filtration mode.

This sophisticated filtration system comes as standard with a 40 watt UV-C Amalagam lamp which is built into the drum filter itself, not only clearing the pond water as it passes though of algae but also helps keep the inside of the drum filter clean.

This built in UV-C Amalagam module ensures crystal clear water. This sophisticated design and high quality materials result in high intensity UV-C radiation with a wavelength of exactly 253.7nm.
