Kusuri Filter Starter Booster
Kusuri Filter Starter Booster is a ready to use filter bacteria for starting new filters or for boosting the baterial levels in existing filters.
Kusuri Filter Starter Booster is especially beneficial after medicating or adding new fish in to the pond or as a general booster to your filtration system at any time of year. This product will improve water quality, is suitable to kick-start filters at the beginning of the season, after chemical treatment and as a boost to the pond filter.
Kusuri Filter Starter Booster can be used in conjunction with salt, for best results use above 15°C (59°F) as bacteria split multiply and divide more efficiently the warmer the water temperature.
How to use Kusuri Filter Starter Booster
Shake the bottle well and apply either straight to the pond or directly into filter chambers to boost the nitrogen cycle, beneficial after medication or adding new fish. Switch off any UV lighting for a period of 3 days.
Use every 7 days for the following scenarios:
- New Pond or new filter installation for 3- 6 weeks
- Spring or when feeding resumes after winter for 2-3 weeks
- After and chemical treatment to the pond for 1 -2 weeks
- When adding new fish stock to any pond for 1-2 weeks.
Please note: Dosing should continue if any detectable presence of toxic Ammonia or Nitrite is detected.
