Linn Profi Feeder

The special mechanism of the new Linn Profi feeder have been taken from the established Profi automatic feeder which was a great sucess for many years. This mechanism ensures that the food is delivered to the fish in the required quantities, intact, and without causing dusting. The food is delivered by a 'portioning' finger which is driven by a 230v geared motor. The feeding rate is about 100g per minute according to the feed quality and size. The Linn Profi feeder can accept feed sizes from fry food up to 9mm.

The problems and disadvantages of clockwork feeders, where humidity causing the feed to stick together and go mouldy are resoved with this new version of the Profi feeder as feeding is  programmed to take place intermittently as required.Thus fish don't stay below the feeder, as they would do with clockwork feeders which feed continuosly.

The hopper capacity is 5kg, so you can store enough food for several days and the feed level is visible from the outside. For convenience, the lid is attached to the hopper.

A completely new time control has been developed for this Profi feeder, and is connected to the feeder via a 10m cable so that the feeder can be placed remotely from the actual Feeder itself. This new Profi feeder control unit can be set to the second and has been designed to be user friendly. With a main button and the '+' and '-' , all feeds can be set quickly and easily. It is only necessary to set the start and end time of the feeding, the required number of feeds and the total feeding time in minutes or seconds per day. Once these parameters have been input the feeding programme is then created automatically. This timer control offers the convenience of being able to take into account the growth of the fish and raise the food ration accordingly.
