These Socket Unions have a Female glue fitting on both sides of the union, these are basically used for connecting two lengths of pipe together that you may need to seperate at some point and reconnect. These are the socket union version which enables a quick disconnection of the pipe by simply unscrewing the fitting into it's two halves.

This allows disconnection and re-connection of two lenngths of pipe quickly and easily to allow maintenance and cleaning.

• 1-1/2 Inch Plain Female to 1-1/2 Inch Plain Female.

These fittings can be used to connect two different sizes of pipe together, if needed, by using the Pressure Reducers, for instance if you wish to connect 2 inch pipe to 1-1/2 Inch pipe then simply use a 2 Inch to 1-1/2 Inch pressure reducer in one side of the fitting.

These can be reduced further on the female side to accomodate black solvent Weld pipe by using the reducing Sleeves (Pressure to Waste)
