Class E Pressure Pipe
When buildng a koi pond we all know that using the best materials is paramount to a succesful project. Especially where the materials are either underground or within the pond walls out of sight.
The use of presssure pipe and fittings has always been significantly more expensive than using lesser quality materials such as the black solvent weld pipe and fittings although budget does play a big part in the selection process of materials.
Class E pressure pipe is significantly stronger than other types of pipe and fittings, so wherever possible we always recommend pressure pipe and fittings for all pond construction work. The wall thickness of Class E pressure pipe is greater than other types of pipe significantly increasing it's strength. In addition there are so many more fittings available to connect everything together as you would want.
As the cost difference between PVC pressure pipe is coming down compared to it's alternatives, it is a false economy not to use this superior product when building your pond. This is especially true if it is to be buried under the floor or in the pond walls, where it needs to last for a very long time.
