Spindrifter Aerated Bottom Drain

The Spindrifter bottom drain is known worldwide for its quality and design. This unit completely replaces the "Standard Bottom Drain."

The most noticeable feature of the Spindrifter bottom drain is the extra connection in the sump of the drain. This allows the air supply to be connected via a seperate pipe to enter the sump independent of the water outlet pipe, thus eliminating the possibility of restriction to the water flow and somewhere esle for fish waste and pond debris to settle.

The membrane and backing plate on the Spindrifter bottom drain fit into a recess in the specially manufactured dome (provided). The recess in the dome prevents the membrane from becoming detached. The complete assembly is secured to the bottom drain by means of a stem, which also provides the air inlet.

The Spindrifter bottom drain can accomodate various pipe sizes and 2", 3" and 4" pressure pipe and all of them come with a 1" connection as standard to carry the Air supply. You will also require the Spindrifter Direct Air feed Kit to convert the 1" pressure pipe to a hosetail to connect the airline to the bottom Drain Stem and to the airline that connects to your air pump.
